QuickStep Laminate Flooring Uniclic Combifloor Plus Underlay1. Protective layer: This protective layer provides an extra barrier to protect your Quick-Step® floor from rising damp. The smooth surface of the protective layer lets the laminate floor expand and contract more easily (wood lives). 2. Comfort zone: This zone is composed of a polyolefin foam with closed cell structure specially developed for Quick-Step®. This layer always returns to its original state after being pressed together and this means ensure optimum contact with the laminate floor and prevents annoying tapping sounds (drum sound). 3. Levelling zone: The structure of the bottom layer has been specially designed to level the surface of the screed. This provides an extremely flat and stable base for laying your Quick-Step® floor and it also provides a comfortable feeling when you walk on the floor. The same honeycomb structure ensures that sound waves under the floor are reduced (can be annoying for downstairs neighbours).
