Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus colours and protects your wood in one single layer. Unlike the traditional hardwax oils, Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus will connect with the wood ply by means of a molecular reaction, as a result of which a durable protection is obtained. This molecular connection enables the Rubi o Monocoat Oil Plus to embed in the surface’s upper microns immediately. The wood fibres can only combine with a certain amount of oil. Oil, which has not reacted, doesn’t bed and needs to be removed.
Renovation
Where scratches or burn marks are present, or where heavy wear is showing (either in patches or large areas of the floor) a renovation treatment with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus is recommended. Local repair is easy: only the wood fibres, which have come free
through damage, will combine with new oil. It also applies if a completely new colour is desired over the entire surface aerea of a previously treated floor. Please consult our instructions sheet on renovation.
Time scedule
Day 1
* Stirr the Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus thouroughly. Apply the product all over the surface
* with a cloth, a wiper with a cloth, or a polishing machine.
* Allow the product to react for a couple of minutes.
* Wipe off all surplus product with a polishing machine within 15 to 20 minutes.
Day 2
* After 24-36 hours the furniture and other interior decoration can be put back in place.
* Areas with very heavy traffic should preferably be protected for +/- one week, with a porous material, 48 hours after application of Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus.
After the treatment with Rubio Monocoat Oil Plus, the floor requires 3 weeks to harden completely.
