W2U Engineered Natural Oak Planks 100mm x 1200mm - Clear Oiled
This European Natural Oak Plank flooring is 14mm thick with a 4mm Solid Oak wear layer. At 100mm wide this floor will be perfect for all installations, whether you have a small hallway or a large lounge it will look great! This product has been designed with the modern home in mind, with a low overall profile (14mm) this flooring will match in perfectly with your existing carpets and tile floors and if you are joining onto vinyl, Karndean or Amtico then you only have a 14mm drop to deal with. Also the backing layer is a 10mm multiply which is incredibly strong and durable. A lot of modern installations are over underfloor heating (UFH), the construction of this board will give you a lot of benefits for these types of installation. When installing an engineered board over UFH you will have the best chance of success with a narrow & thin board that is constructed using very dense, wbp or marine plywood. The reason for this is that wood is an insulator and the thicker the board, the more heat the UFH will have to put through the system to get the desired room temperature. Also a function of the UFH drying out the flooring (as it will in the winter) is it will shrink, cup and crack. Therefore the smaller the width of the board, the better it is at coping with this stress. This product is unfinished so will require treatment after installation. Our 300mm super-wide oak flooring is a brand new product. It is constructed with a 6mm layer of beautiful European Oak grown in the forests of France and Germany which is backed onto the best FSC certified Russian Birch Plywood. The boards come pre-sanded and filled so all you have to do is decide how you want to finish it! This product must either be nailed directly to Joists or be fully bonded to the subfloor with Rewmar MS Polymer adhesive. For ease of use we recommend finishing the boards with OSMO Hardwax Oils. W2U Engineered Natural Oak Planks 100mm x 1200mm - White Oiled
This European Natural Oak Plank flooring is 14mm thick with a 4mm Solid Oak wear layer. At 100mm wide this floor will be perfect for all installations, whether you have a small hallway or a large lounge it will look great! This product has been designed with the modern home in mind, with a low overall profile (14mm) this flooring will match in perfectly with your existing carpets and tile floors and if you are joining onto vinyl, Karndean or Amtico then you only have a 14mm drop to deal with. Also the backing layer is a 10mm multiply which is incredibly strong and durable. A lot of modern installations are over underfloor heating (UFH), the construction of this board will give you a lot of benefits for these types of installation. When installing an engineered board over UFH you will have the best chance of success with a narrow & thin board that is constructed using very dense, wbp or marine plywood. The reason for this is that wood is an insulator and the thicker the board, the more heat the UFH will have to put through the system to get the desired room temperature. Also a function of the UFH drying out the flooring (as it will in the winter) is it will shrink, cup and crack. Therefore the smaller the width of the board, the better it is at coping with this stress. This product is unfinished so will require treatment after installation.
