What is engineered wood flooring?
Engineered wood flooring is constructed by stacking several layers of plywood, softwood or high-density fiberboard, with a real hardwood veneer on top. Compared to solid hardwood, engineered wood is more stable and better suited to environments with changing humidity due to its unique construction. It has the appearance of real wood with increased durability and can be installed as a floating floor or glued down.
