Product Description
Rewmar RP is a fast drying, one part polyurethane based primer. It is designed for use with all Rewmar MS Polymer products.
Application
Rewmar RP can be applied on concrete screeds containing up to 98% RH with three coats. This product is not suitable for use with bitumen substrates, you must use Rewmar MB.
1 Coat: Rewmar RP can be used as fast drying adherence primer on porous / non-porous or smooth substrates (ceramic tiles, adherent and cohesive paints, traces of old glues, etc.). It can be applied either before or after applying a screed/latex but before applying Rewmar MS Polymer adhesive.
2 -3 Coats: Applied in cross layers, Rewmar RP can be used as a moisture barrier for waterproofing of absorbent surfaces up to 98%RH. Note: if the Concrete Moisture is over 75% RH and a liquid batten installation is performed then Rewmar MB must be used.
Coverage
One 5Kg tub will cover:
1 Coat: 20m² (250 grams per m²)
2 Coats: 15m² (350 grams per m²)
3 Coats: 11m² (450 grams per m²)
Drying Time
Rewmar RP will dry in 45 – 60 minutes per coat (depending on the site conditions).
Instructions For Use
Subfloor Preparation:
The substrates must be sound, free of splits, dust, grease or other contaminants that could affect adhesion. For substrates that are non-porous or smooth it is necessary to abrade the surface prior to application of Rewmar RP.
Application:
Rewmar RP must be applied with a roller. When using as a moisture barrier the first coat must be fully dry before applying the second coat. Rewmar MS Polymer adhesive must be applied within 48 hours of the final coat drying. This product is suitable for use with Underfloor Heating.
Cleaning:
Tools can be cleaned with acetone before primer has completely cured. After curing, abrasion is necessary.
Storage and Shelf Life
12 months sealed original packaging between 5 and 25°C, 6 months when opened (kept in the original packaging between 5 and 25ºC).
